Talbot Band Barn Chat
Billy or other members of the BTB will
occasionally hang out and chat in the Barn Chat "room" here on the site.
See the News page for announcements of when that
will happen. Feel free to use the Barn for discussions with other
BTB fans whenever you wish.

If you know how to chat, proceed to the entrance to the barn by using the
button above... Or check below for a few tips that'll help you out...
Barn Chat Tips
- When you get to the Barn Chat login page (via the button up above) you
can set your prefered language by clicking on one of the little flags there.
Your selection will be remembered when you return. Doing this will
translate the prompts, help screens and tutorial to your prefered language.
- You'll need to register a "nickname" to participate in the chat (or to
lurk there). See the registration link on the login page. You only need
to do the registration the first time you log into the Barn Chat.
- A random password is sent to you when you register. Use the "edit profile"
link on the login page to change that password to something you'll be able
to remember. You can change other registration details from there, too.
- Be sure to take the quick tutorial (linked from the login page) to learn
the details about how this chat behaves, special commands available, smileys,
and other useful info.
- You can see the list of nicknames of people in the Barn by clicking on
the "_ user" link in the "There are currently _ user in the chat"
message at the top of the login page. You do not have to login to use this.
- After logging into the chat, you can click the question mark ("?")
beside the chat input box to get quick help with commands available.
- If you wish to move outside the Barn to talk in a "quieter" room,
use the "Shed". You can go directly there by selecting "Shed" on the
login screen. You can also switch there at any time after login by
clicking on the "Shed" link in the nickname list section (on the right).
When in the Shed, you can return to the Barn the same way.
- Most of the rest of what you need to know is in the HELP or the
Tutorial. If you encounter something you think should have been
mentioned here, drop a note to the Webmaster and let him know.
